Celebration of the Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola by Staff

Back

The Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated on July 30, 2018 among the staff. The staff of all units of St Joseph's Indian Institutions gathered in the auditorium to take part in the festivities. The staff invoked God's blessings through St Ignatius's prayer for generosity. The staff of the high school welcomed the gathering through a graceful dance. The highlight of the celebration was the quiz conducted by the staff of the middle school. The quiz was based on the life of St Ignatius which enhanced the knowledge about the saint. The mood was made cheerful lighter through the games conducted by the middle school. Prizes brought much cheer to the winners. A song in honor of St Ignatius was rendered by the staff of the community college. The Rector, Fr Leo Pereira SJ conveyed the festive greetings to the staff. He urged the staff to imbibe certain qualities and practices of St Ignatius to help us become better partners in the Jesuit education mission of forming men and women for others. The celebration culminated with a delicious lunch platter.
