Prerana, Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola Competitions

The Student Council of SJIHS with the guidance of the teaching fraternity conducted various competitions for all the students of high school as the part of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola as well as a part of Prerana, the intra-mural cultural fest, on the 27th of July 2019, Saturday. Five competitions including drawing, chart making, greeting card making, quiz and my little garden competitions were conducted to provide a platform to all the students to showcase their talents, creativity in art, intellect and nature. The judges for the drawing competition were - greeting card competition- Ms. Avni Ved, chart making competition - Mrs. Mary Magdaleena, quiz competition- Br. Arun Lobo SJ and My Little Garden Competition- Fr. Leo Periera SJ and Dr. Flora D’Souza awarded the competitors justly. The students who had registered to participate in various events were sent to the respective competition venues. The competitions were held individually and in groups. The running theme for all the competitions was the life and principles of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the highlights of St. Joseph’s Indian Institutions. The My Little Garden had the theme to showcase medicinal plants, everyday use of plants and their benefits. After the competitions an exhibition of all the works was set up for all the students to see.
