Republic Day

On the 26 of January 2020, the Republic Day of India was celebrated in the quadrangle of St Joseph’s Indian High School with students and staff from all the units of St Joseph’s Indian Institutions. It was celebrated to uphold the constitution of India and the principles it holds. The program was hosted by various units of the institution. It began with the hoisting of the flag by the Rector of St Joseph’s Indian Institutions, Rev Fr Leo Pereira SJ and Rev Fr Henry Saldanha SJ, the principal of St Joseph’s Indian High School, Rev Fr Rohan SJ, the principal of St Joseph’s CBSE School. A pledge was taken by reciting the preamble of the constitution which was led by Fr Jeevan Prabhu SJ. Teachers from St Joseph’s School CBSE sang patriotic songs in honor of the day. Rev Fr Rohan and Rev Fr Leo Pereira SJ addressed the students and stressed on the importance of unity among us and the significance of Republic Day. The celebration ended with the distribution of sweets to the students and the staff present.
